Situated 25 miles South of Alicante, with
14 miles of uninterrupted sand and many beautiful Blue Flag
beaches such as Cabo Roig, which provides a seafront walk
to the beautiful marina, La Zenia and Mil Palmeras. 3 outstanding
golf courses to keep all golf fanatics happy. Supermarkets,
shops, bars, bistros, sporting activities and restaurants
catering for a variety of national cuisines are nearby. Torrevieja
is 15 mins by car, a bustling, Spanish harbour town. It is
an all-year town, unlike the other communities along the same
stretch of coast that are strictly holiday towns. Torrevieja
has a very large exciting Aqua Park, a nature park (The Parque
Natural de las Lagunas de la Mata y Torrevieja), museums,
theatre and one of the largest weekly outdoor markets in the
region. In the nearby atmospheric Plaza at Villamartin you
will find a wide range of restaurants & bars to suit
everyone’s taste, shops, banks, taxi/car hire, and hairdressers.

Partly because of the sunshine, but also
because of the two huge salt lakes which draw moisture from
the air resulting in low humidity levels, this region is rated
by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest
places in the world. So if swimming in the clear blue Mediterranean
is your cup of tea, you won’t find a better and safer place
to do it! The Costa Blanca has a beautiful climate with 320
days of sun each year. It is uniquely dry and has less than
30 days rain. Inland, the fields of almond trees, vineyards,
orange and lemon groves and hills where herbs grow wild, form
a vegetation which emphasises the oriental nature of the landscape.
There are some excellent walks. The area is one of the major
fruit and vegetable growing areas of Spain and local produce
can be bought in the markets.
